As the managing director of Rug Icon, Jay Pouya Nehouray is responsible for running all aspects of the business including but not limited to the day to day operations, marketing, production, technology and logistics by locating the top candidates and assigning competent professionals into the various positions.

Jay has a proven executive management track record and over 30 years of experience driving sales growth in the lifestyle fashion and interior design industry.

Previously he served as president of Darius Gallery and managing director of operations for Aga John Rugs and Caravan Rug. His previous experience in Fashion industry from New York to Los Angeles contributes exponentially to designing rugs and attention to details such as keen eyes to decorative colors and demanding textures to name a few.

Jay received a recognition in Modern Luxury Beverly Hills magazine as an “Icons of Beverly Hills” and was the winner of “America’s Magnificent Carpets Award” presented by Americasmart executive Chas Sydney and Architectural Digest executive Jeff Petersen at different dates and in various categories.

He has been commissioned to design and produce rugs for Interior designers, architects and celebrities worldwide.
